Building Brighter Futures Together
Building Brighter Futures Together is a free online Community of Practice connecting professionals across health, social care, education and justice sectors to improve outcomes for children in complex situations with multiple needs
On this page you will find out the purpose of the community, who it’s for, and how to register your interest to join.
What is the Community of Practice?
The Brighter Futures Community of Practice is a freely accessible online space for professionals working with children and young people living in complex circumstances. It brings together those from health, social care, education and justice to share learning, insight and promising practice. The focus is on supporting young people whose difficulties often stem from ongoing, interpersonal, or developmental trauma. This includes those in care, at risk of, or on Deprivation of Liberty Orders, and others managing complex, overlapping needs linked to their wellbeing and safety.
Within this community, members can explore and exchange evidence-informed approaches to care, discover examples of promising practice from across the UK, and stay informed about upcoming learning opportunities such as webinars, workshops, and specialist groups.
Who is it for?
The CoP is designed for professionals at all levels – commissioners, decision-makers, service leads, and frontline practitioners. This includes professionals across social care, education, health, youth justice, the voluntary sector, and any other professional seeking to improve their knowledge of supporting these young people. It provides a shared space to connect across disciplines, learn from each other’s experiences, and work collectively towards more joined-up and compassionate support for young people facing the most complex challenges.
